Revenue Manager

Job Summary:
The position will constantly monitor the revenue management and reservations practices in the reservations and sales departments in order to maximize profitability of the room's inventory. This includes the maintenance of guest satisfaction through the responsiveness of transient and group reservation processing. This position will also evaluate, and offer recommendations for monthly and daily selling strategies of the group and transient sales team, including the daily price positioning of group business. The role will lead the reservations team and ensure all sales and service standards and departmental goals are met.
Responsibilities include:
Anticipate demand and control the room's inventory accordingly to maximize revenues. Set selling strategies for both transient and group markets. Analyze potential group business and lead business review meetings with the sales team to maximize revenues. Provide guidelines and data to both the transient and group sales team so that sound business decisions are made
Oversee the operation of the Reservations Department. Set standards, monitor performance, plan, coordinate, organize and lead staff toward the goal of meeting objectives
Assist in preparing forecasts using all available data and reports
Prepare and conduct regular yield meetings to present on-the-books, forecast, market conditions, current and proposed strategies
Participate in the preparation of the annual room's budget and marketing plan
Monitor and update reservation systems and ensure rates and availability are accurate
Maintain historical records of reservation statistics, booking pace, and other pertinent data
Coordinate data flow between the Sales Department, Catering Department, Front Office, and Reservations Department as applies to guest room rates, inventory control, and promotions
Manage and monitor PBX/telecommunication systems
Monitor group block activity. Manage the communication process between the client and the hotel as pertains to group room blocks
Maintain consistency in the CRS, PMS, and Delphi systems to ensure room types, rate codes, and restrictions are updated
Control room type availability based on pickup and demand
Maintain accurate information on all corporate and property promotions and packages
Generate and distribute Daily, Weekly, and Monthly revenue management reports and present results from all segments including internet channel
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year experience
Extensive knowledge working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Extensive knowledge of GDS and third party distribution channels
Fluent in current industry web-based applications
Ideal candidate will have:
1-3 years of experience
Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
Knowledge of Opera, SynXis and IDeaS, Spring Miller a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
