SPD TECH II - Sterile Processing - Full-Time - Varied

The Sterile Processing Technician must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professional with other departments within the hospital. Able to accept new ideas and duties. The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the overall cleaning, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical instruments, equipment and supplies used to provide patient care. They are responsible for the testing and recording of sterilizer performance in order to ensure that sterility parameters have been met.Experience/Specialized Skills:
Prefer one year experience in sterile processing, outpatient, or surgical setting. Thorough knowledge of aseptic techniques and procedures, infection control and workflow principles and requirements. Working knowledge of sterilizers, surgical instrumentation, and hospital equipment
Required Certification/Registration:
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). BLS Preferred.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
Prefer successful completion of a hospital central service technician course or surgical technologist course.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
